Olli Likitalo
PhD Student, University of Turku
Dr. Likitalo completed his MD degree in 2014 and his Specialist Degree in Medicine in 2023 at the University of Turku. He is currently combining clinical work as a neurology consultant at Turku University Hospital with research at Turku Brainlab. Dr. Likitalo’s PhD research focuses on the localization of neurological symptoms whose neural substrates remain poorly understood, such as brain disorder–related fatigue and addiction. His work utilizes a novel method known as lesion network mapping. There is a significant unmet need for effective treatments for these poorly understood brain disorders. Ultimately, he hopes that this research will contribute to the development of new therapeutic approaches.
